In celebration of the composer’s 120th birthday, the Marc Lavry Heritage Society is calling for musicians, academics, teachers and the public to engage in the Year of Marc Lavry.
When:
Concert season 2023-2024
Call To Action:
- Musicians and musical organizations (orchestras, chamber groups, choirs etc): Perform compositions of composer Marc Lavry.
- Festivals and musical competitions: include music by composer Marc Lavry in the program.
- Academics: write a paper/research on a topic related to Marc Lavry. See Research Topics for Academicsץ
- Teachers: teach a class about Marc Lavry and his music, and encourage students to write a paper about this topic. See Lesson Plan.
- Music enthusiasts: Explore Marc Lavry’s music at the Music Room. Ask your local musical institutions to perform a composition/song by Marc Lavry.
