Synopsis: As the house composer for the Ha’ohel Theater in Israel, Lavry composed the music for the play “The Chalk Circle”.
Der Kreidekreis (The Chalk Circle), written by playwright Klabund (pseudonym for Alfred Henschke), is a play inspired by an ancient Chinese drama.
Interestingly, it later served as the inspiration for German playwright Bertolt Brecht’s famous play Der Kaukasische Kreidekreis (The Caucasian Chalk Circle).
