Synopsis:

The Quartet for Harp, Violin, Viola and Cello was written for Lavry’s friends: Andreas Weisgerber (violin), Kletsky (viola), Yosef Weisgerber (cello) and Klari Sarvas (harp). The virtuoso piece was performed for the first time on January 21, 1939 at the Beit Brenner hall in Tel Aviv.
Note: In the manuscript’s title Lavry wrote ‘Konzertstück’, which means ‘Concert Piece’.

The composition includes three movements:

  • Andante
  • Adagio – Song of Songs
  • Allegro Agitato – Dance
