Synopsis: Marc Lavry composed the music for the Ohel Theater, for a play called “In the Forests of Poland”. The play is based on a book by the same name by Josef Optoszow based on the Jewish community’s part in the Polish uprising of 1863.
The play was performed in 1944. Lavry arranged the music for a small orchestra and the composition was performed at a concert in Tel Aviv on March 1, 1944.
